ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR FINE ARTS COURESE

As aware, the University has established Faculty of Fine Arts in the year 2008 with the first batch of students. The entrance examination for the next academic session 2009-2010 for the traditional Fine Art Faculty will be held on 7th 8th 9th July 2009 in the University. ( The University provides 2 years Pre- University Course (PUC), 3 years of Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and 2 years of Master of Fine Arts (MFA)

Curriculum:
1.    Painting, woodcraft and sculpture
2.    History and Philosophy of Arts
3.    Buddhist Philosophy   
4.    Tibetan Literature   
 5.    English/Hindi

Eligibility Condition:
a)    Candidates must have passed 10th standard prescribed by Central Boards of State Board or by a recognized institution.
b)    The candidates must have knowledge of Tibetan language & English or Hindi equivalent to 10th standard. If the school or institution from which the candidates has passed the 10th grade does not provide course on Tibetan language, the candidate can produce a certificate qualifying himself / herself having knowledge of Tibetan language of 10th standard from a recognized Institute.
c)    The candidate must have strong enthusiasm in learning arts and capability to pursue the subject.

The entrance examination of the course will be held on 7th 8th 9th July 2009. The admission will be provide as per the admission rules of the university. The total number of intake of students will be 10 (5 each in painting and woodcraft)
The prescribed Admission Form for appearing in the entrance test along with syllabus can be obtained from the Institute w.e.f. 20th April, 2009 either by cash payment or by sending draft of Rs 50/- in favour of Registrar, CIHTS, Saranath,  Varanasi with clear and complete address of the applicant. The prescribed Admission Form dully filled up and accompanied with photocopies/ Xerox of all relevant documents e.g. Mark Sheet, Caste Certificate etc may be addressed to:

The application from should reach to this office on or before 20th  June, 2009 (or with late free charge of Rs 25/- upto 25th June, 2009) Application forms received thereafter or incomplete application forms shall not be entertained and no refund of the application fee etc. will be made. Tibetan version of this notification is being issued separately.
