ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR (MD, MS/MENRAMPA) COURSE AND (BTMS/KACHUPA) IN SOWARIGPA FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2009-2010
1. Admission Notification for Post Graduate (MD/MS) in Sowa-Rigpa
The University is to launch the Post Graduate course (MD/MS) in Sowa-Rigpa from the academic session 2009 – 2010. The total number of seats for enrolment in the course is 10 and the course is of 3 years duration, divided over two stages: one year for the preliminary course and the remaining two years for an intensive research on any one from among the 10 areas of study for specialization (see the details in Tibetan version).
In case there be more candidates in one subject, priority will be given on the basis of merit list based on the admission test. The remaining candidates shall be assigned a subject on the basis of the rules and regulation of the MD/MS course in Sowa-Rigpa.
Eligibility conditions for the candidates will be as under:
1. BTMS in Sowa-Rigpa from any University or College/Statutory Body included in the CCIM or CCTM act.
2. Completion of one year rigorous Internship
3. Exceptional cases will be subject to the approval of the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of the Admission Committee.
4. The candidate should have strong motivation for learning Tibetan medicine and capability to pursue the subject.
5. The reservation of seats for SC/ST/Physically handicapped shall be as per UGC norms.
Mode of Admission:
The Admission test shall comprise:
(a) One objective type theory paper on the general concept of Sowa-Rigpa, besides
(b) An interview on general Sowa-Rigpa and on the subject opted by the candidate.
The entrance examination will be held on 7th and 8th of July, 2009 and the course will commence from 1st September, 2009.
The prescribed admission form for appearing in the entrance test may be obtained from the University w.e.f. 20th May, 2009 onwards either by cash payment or by sending Demand Draft of Rs.100.00 in favour of Registrar, CIHTS, Sarnath, Varanasi. The admission form dully filled in and accompanied by relevant documents may be addressed to:

The application form should reach the office on or before 1st July, 2009. Application forms received afterwards and incomplete application forms shall not be entertained nor shall the refund of the application fee be made.
2. Admission Notification for Bachelor of Tibetan Medicine and Surgery (BTMS) in Sowa-Rigpa
The entrance examination PMT for admission to BTMS for the academic session 2009 – 2010 is scheduled on 7th, 8th and 9th of July, 2009 to be held in the University campus. The total number of seats is 7. One seat shall be reserved for those interested candidates who have passed 12th standard with PCB or PCMB and with a strong motivation to study Tibetan medicine.
